While on my recent stock-discovery kick, I spotted `lockstock's beautiful [Roses 2] and the first thing that popped into my mind was, "That's such an Anita look!" I adore the first six of Laurell K. Hamilton's "Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter" books, and this gave me the perfect opportunity to create a fan art.
For those unfamiliar with the series, Anita Blake is a petite, female necromancer / vampire executioner ( ... / leopard queen / wolf lupa / vampire servant / member of two power triumvirates / federal marshal / demigod ...) with dark hair, pale skin, and a multitude scars down her collarbone and left arm from her many adventures. --- Girl seriously, strongly ref'ed from `lockstock's [Roses 2]. Anita Blake © Laurell K. Hamilton Edit (Dec 7, '07): Paled the skin and darkened the hair. Hopefully this version is a lot more Anita-like. |

Good places to look for reference are costume makeup websites, or (if you're really brave) do a Google search for "scar" and see what turns up.
