Nestled between lily pads is a golden ball, awaiting rescue by the Frog Prince.
The front of this pendant features three swirling lily pads and a brilliant orange cubic zirconia stone. The back is detailed with curling waves. A tiny, 3-dimensional frog charm dangles from the bottom.
I sculpted the main body of the pendant from PMC – pure silver in an organic binder. The binder burns out during firing, leaving only solid metal behind. I then oxidized the .999 fine silver to show delicate detail and really make the orange CZ pop!
This double-strand necklace has an 18 inch long-and-short chain connected to the pendant and a 15 inch cable chain interspersed with peridot rondelles. A two inch extension chain allows room for adjustment and sports a sparkly Swarovski crystal dangle in Peridot green. All chains are sterling silver and lightly textured for additional sparkle.
The pendant measures just under one inch in diameter (23mm).
