Artist's Comments

Half French gothic, half Victorian Steampunk. This black and silver necklace has quite the split personality!

Its left half is made of black gunmetal rollo chain, a Jet Swarovski crystal, and matte black base metal swirls topped with a fleur de lis. Its right half is has a lightly-tarnished, sterling-plated cable chain, a Seth Thomas balance arm, an aluminum rose dangle, and an antique watch plate. From the bottom center hangs a 2 inch, black metal tassel.

This piece has sold, but check out [My Etsy Shop] for other available pieces.

Just curious, do you write your own descriptions or do you have someone else to it? They are always so intricate and pretty sounding. :)

I write my own descriptions, but I really don't like doing it. I believe in letting each person decide what s/he likes, dislikes, or finds meaning in. By putting everything into my own words, I always feel like I'm taking some of that freedom away.

Intricate is a very nice way to describe my snarled soup. ;) I'm glad you like it.

I don't think you're taking away that freedom at all. :) After all, I believe the majority of people will only look at the picture, I on the other hand find your descriptions fascinating so I try to read them every time. :P
